T’ai Chi Chih
Experience joy through movement as we practice simple, fluid movements in the non-martial art of T’ai Chi Chih, a moving meditation. Some reported benefits include stress reduction and increased energy.
This program is for individuals of all ages and fitness levels and incorporates a variety of progressive exercises using resistance bands and floor exercises. Benefits include improved muscular strength and tone, endurance, and flexibility as well as increased energy, stress reduction, and an overall sense of well-being. We also facilitate this program at Steeplechase Cancer Center.

Come and learn the ancient practice of hatha yoga in a gentle way, one that is meant for one and all, to recharge, refresh and reenergize. Learn classic yoga postures to de-stress and de-compress, while building strength and flexibility. Give your body, mind and spirit some peace and a chance to serve you better, to ultimately bring healing, health, harmony and happiness to all areas of life.
Blissful Breathing (Prana Yama)
Come and learn simple techniques using the power of the breath (the subtle life force energy, or “prana”) to enhance body, mind and spirit, for serenity, healing, wholeness and ease. The focus will be on breathing exercises with some light “asanas” (yoga postures/poses), intended for all, regardless of age, experience or background. This is for anyone simply interested in the benefits of breathwork for cleansing, detoxifying, strengthening, purifying, toning and refreshing. This practice steadies the mind and ultimately leads to less stress and improvement in all areas of life. Please wear loose comfortable clothing, and a smile! All exercises may be done on the floor or on a chair as needed.
Restorative Yoga with Guided Meditation
With the full support of blankets and other props, rest in poses that gently stretch the body. With the addition of a guided meditation, we will fall into a deep level of relaxation.
